Welp. Here I am in Dublin! (the pics are of my new home!) My trip was long but ok. The one thing that really pissed me off was on my red eye flight from New Jersey to Dublin the dang airline insisted on turing on the overhead lights roughly a thousand times to serve dinner, sell crap, serve drinks, and breakfast! Hello...the flight left at 10:00...we don't need no stinkin dinner. Plus I was supposed to have the window seat but the couple I was sitting next to had decided they wanted the window and center instead of the aisle and center so they just sat there and when I said something the man just motioned toward the aisle seat like I was crazy. Oh well, they were old.
When I landed in Dublin I quickly made friends with a couple of 12 year old boys who carried my bags for me to the bus stop and watched them as I went to get change for the bus. I head them guessing where I was from because of MY crazy accent. Ha! My landlady picked me up from the bus stop and is very friendly. She gave me the grand tour of my townhouse (its a duplex with her family living right next door), and introduced me to two of my roomates. Jax and Stace from New Zealand, and Jax's boyfriend who is in town from London. Apparently some dude from China also lives here right now but I haven't seen him yet. This place is like a mini hostel and reminds me of a dorm suite. I guess the Chinese dude is leaving soon and we're getting a girl from Germany. Whatev. My room is cute and clean but I of course brought too much clothing to fit in the wardrobe. Story of my life! Now I'm gonna go unpack and prob go to sleep early...my first Saturday night!
Oh, and for those of you who were counting on my videophone....its not gonna happen. The router it would need to run off of is at the landlady's house, so emails and MSN messenger it is for me :(
